Addiction is often times misunderstood and judged. Through research we now know that biology, environmental and social aspects can lead an individual toward addiction. Sheila's approach is to help assess where an individual is along the progression path and help them to lower their use or lead them on their path of recovery.
She believes that everyone is unique and her therapy is individualized to best address each person's needs. She helps clients to move away from substances while helping them to manage their emotions, improve their relationships and help them to feel fulfilled.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) are the pillars of her therapeutic approach. Through her holistic approach, therapy focuses on addressing the underlying issues that lead a person to use and help a person's physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Sheila has helped hundreds of clients to achieve a healthy and happy life of recovery. She believes that everyone is an individual and each person's therapy is individualized to their particular needs.
